Ingredients:
Urad dal - 2 cups
green chillies - 6-7

Method:
- soak the urad dal for 4 hours.
- Drain well and grind dal and other ingredients to a fine paste without using water.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Wet hands with buttermilk or water and take a handful of batter.
- shape into vada with a hole in the middle and gently drop in oil.
- fry till it is golden brown.
- Serve hot with sambar and ginger chutney or coconut chutney.
- Note: We may add finely chopped cabbage or onion or coriander or thotakura to the batter. It will enhance the taste.
