IDIYAPPAM

Ingredients:
Rice Flour - 2 cups 
Ghee - 1 tsp
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Water - 2- 2/12 cups

Method:

  • Dry roast rice flour in low flame for few minutes.
  • Boil water in a pan, add salt and bring it to boil.
  • Pour the hot water slowly into rice flour and mix vigorously, Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  • Fill it in idiyappam presser and press it on greased idli plates. Sprinkle grated coconut on top of it.
  • Steam it in idli maker for 5 minutes or until done.
  • Serve with vegetable stew or chicken curry.
