Ingredients:
All-purpose flour - 1 3/4 cup (sifted)
Baking powder - 4 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
Butter (or) Margarine - 1 1/4 cup
Orange peel - 1/4 cup (grated)
Sugar - 2 cups
Egg -1
Uncooked rolled oats - 2 cups
Method:
For a more nutritious and a equally delicious cookie, increase the rolled oats to 3 cups.

Method:
- Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg together; set aside.
- Cream butter with orange peel; add the sugar gradually, beating until fluffy. Add the egg and beat thoroughly.
- Add dry ingredients in thirds, mixing until blended after each addition. Stir in the rolled oats.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375 F 12 to 15 minutes.
