PORRIDGE

Ingredients:
Water - 575 ml
Salt - 1 tsp
Medium oatmeal - 100 g

Method:

  • Bring the water to the boil and add the salt. Add the oatmeal gradually, Keeping the water on the boil and stirring continuously with a wooden spoon to mix the oatmeal thoroughly. 
  • Simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with salt, sugar or syrup, and milk or cream.
