FRIED OKRA

Ingredients:
Okra - 500 gms (fresh and tender)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cornmeal -1/2 - 1 cup
Oil for deep frying

Method:

  • Wash and pat dry okra. Cut into 1"pieces.
  • Liberally sprinkle salt and pepper on pieces.
  • Put cornmeal into brown paper bag; shake okra in bag to coat each piece with cornmeal.
  • Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crisp; drain on paper tower.
  • Keep warm.
